 | Human Rights Education Centre in collaboration with the Community Healing Network presents a course on Human Rights Education and Gender Based Violence
Date: 22 – 26 May 2009 Venue: Good Shepherd, Haartbespoort - Pretoria
Themes to be covered are:
* Basic facilitation skills * Human rights education and gender-based violence * Link between gender based violence and food security * Rights-based approach to social mobilisation * Participatory planning, monitoring and reflection
Who can attend the course?
Faith Based Organisations, Community based organisations, home based care workers, faith based organisations, women and youth groups, NGO´s, opinion leaders, Counsellors, help desk advisers, health care workers, adult educators, community facilitators, unions and researchers.
Expected outcomes:
At the end of the course participants will be able to: - conduct a learning event - design and facilitate learning activities eg march, demonstration, planting - Explore creative alternatives in coordination and campaigning activities
Course fee:
• Registration fee is a subsidised fee of R1820 per participant, it includes accommodation, catering, venue, registration, training manual and certificate.
