Constitution Day Lessons from The Center for Civic Education

The Center for Civic Education, in collaboration with AASA, offered four new lesson plans to commemorate Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, Sept. 17.

The Center for Civic Education, in collaboration with the American Association of School Administrators, offered four new lesson plans to commemorate Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, which is celebrated Sept. 17. The free, downloadable lessons are for students in kindergarten and grades 1, 1-2 and 9-12. An archive of all of the lessons that have been posted over the years for grades K-12 is available online.

These lessons have been adapted from the Center's We the People: The Citizen & the Constitution, Foundations of Democracy, and Law in a Free Society curricular materials, and are relevant throughout the year, and not only on Constitution Day. Audio recordings of selected Constitution Day lessons are also available.
